In April 2014 Prime Minister David Cameron called for a continuation of religious discrimination in Britain. That he was able to do so without fear of the consequences tells us as much about the degraded state of Britain's democracy as it does of religious privilege.

A Feudal Master

If you are a landowner in England you may find the Church of England demanding that you make a financial contribution to the maintenance of its churches. For the state church is not ashamed to use feudal rights to pick the pockets of the people.

A Slavery Profiteer

The state church made £1bn from the slave trade. The Society for the Propagation of the Gospel banded it's slaves with the word "Society."

A Protector of Abusers

The BBC called it the "darkest secret" of the state church. A bishop was accused of abusing young men. He called it "being naked before God", The Church of England and the British establishment closed ranks to protect him. There are other cases.
