Paul Keating, former prime minister of Australia, has said that Charlie Windsor would support the abolition of monarchy in that country.

Mr Keating said “I have no doubt he believes Australia should be free of the British monarchy and that it should make its own way in the world.
In fact the decision about Australia’s constitution is one for the people of that country, not Mr Windsor.
However, it may be significant that Windsor has no financial interest in the continuation of monarchy in Australia. That is unlike the UK where he depends on the feudal institution for his great wealth. The cash cow Duchy of Cornwall gave Windsor £20.5m a year at the last count.
