Ms. Campbell said that \u201cthe sovereignty of the people is a very important thing\u201d and the people should decide.<\/p>\n<p>The Crown is sovereign in the UK, not the people<\/p>\n<p>Both the Scottish government and the \u201cYes\u201d campaign have said that an independent Scotland would be a monarchy like the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Campbell joined Dennis Canavan, who chairs the Yes Scotland advisory board, in touching the third rail of British politics.
