Charles Windsor, who has the strange job of being the son of Britain’s head of state, sent the taxpayers travel bills for £658,000 in 2015-16.
Those taxpayers were obliged to pay £33,249 for train journeys between Ayr, Yorkshire and Aberdeen. The two-day trip would have cost anyone else a few hundred pounds.
But Charlie used the “royal” train. This 9-car train is exclusively for the use of the Windsor clan and costs taxpayers as much as £900,000 annually.
Mr. Windsor is accountable to no one for his spending apart, perhaps, to his mum. The people have no right to bring him to account.
