But It’s Not Windsor

The “king” of Spain has taken a pay cut of £16,000, in response to the anger among Spanish people about their government’s tax increases and austerity budgeting. His son is to be paid £8,000 less than last year and other family members will also take cuts in their pay. In all there will be a reduction of between £70,000 and £87,000 in spending on the feudal family. Recent scandals have reduced their popularity.

In Britain the pockets of the people will continue to be picked to pay a huge amount to support the Windsor family in their super-luxury lives. They will take £31m from the Crown Estate, around £13m from the Duchy of Lancaster and about £18m from the Duchy of Cornwall, all of which belong to the people.
